RESOLUTION NO. 2013-027
CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON VACATING A PORTION OF MINNESOTA
STREET LYING SOUTH OF 7TH STREET
PIDS 155- 068 - 001010,155 - 500 - 113206,155 -500- 113207
WHEREAS, the Monticello City Council pursuant to Minnesota Statute 412.851 desires to consider
the vacation of a portion of Minnesota Street lying south of Seventh Street in the City of Monticello;
said property is legally described as:
That part of Minnesota Street as dedicated in the Plat of Kirkman Addition in the City of
Monticello, as is on file and of record in the Office of the County Recorder, in and for Wright
County, Minnesota and that part of Minnesota Street in the Northwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter, Section 11, Township 121, Range 25, which lies northerly of the
northerly Right of Way Line of Interstate 94 and southerly of the of the following described
line: Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1 said Kirkman Addition; thence
North 89 degrees 53 minutes 44 seconds West, assumed bearing along the westerly extension
of the north line of said Lot 1, 31.39 feet; thence South 85 degrees 02 minutes 30 seconds
West, 33.01 feet to the westerly Right of Way line of Minnesota street and said line there
terminating.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYRESOLVED BY THE CITY CO UNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the vacation of said street and a public hearing shall be held on
such proposed vacation on the 13th day of May, before the City Council in the Council
Chambers located at the Monticello Community Center at 7 p.m.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give published, posted and mailed notice of such
hearing as required by law.
