RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -046
ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2013 STREET
BITUMINOUS SEALCOAT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City has solicited quotes for the 2013 Street Bituminous Sealcoat Project according to
the plans and specifications provided to the public. Quotes were received, opened, and tabulated, and
were found to comply with said plans and specifications:

Allied Blacktop Co.
$1.14 per square yard
Pearson Brothers Inc.
$1.46 per square yard
WHEREAS, the quote submitted by Allied Blacktop Co., of Maple Grove, Minnesota, in the amount of
$1.14 per square yard for the 2013 Bituminous Sealcoat Project, in accordance with the plans and
specifications, was the lowest responsible quote and shall be and hereby is accepted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELL0,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, are
hereby approved.
2. Quotes submitted for the project according to the plans and specifications are hereby accepted.
3. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said
company for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Monticello.
4. The Public Works Department shall direct and inspect the project.
