City Council Resolution 2013-78ACITY OF MONTICELLO WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2013-078A WHEREAS, the applicant proposes that the zoning map be amended to rezone the subject property to R -4, Medium -High Density Residence District, and WHEREAS, the property is designated as "Places to Shop" r the Monticello land use plan; and lql WHEREAS, the designation "Places to,,, would accommodate multiple family residential development; and WHEREAS, the "Places to Live" designation o would accommodate residential development that would be compatible with the surrounding land uses; and WHEREAS, high - density residential.. development can be adequately served by existing public services, including utilitie and roadways; and WHEREAS, high density residential development on the site is not inconsistent with the purposes of the Wild andScenic Rivers regulations as determined by the Department of Natural Resources, and. WHEREAS, the proposed zoning would be consistent with the land use plan as amended; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted a public hearing on July 2, 2013, which was continued to August 6th, 2013 and to September 3rd, 2013 to review the requests and receive public comment on the rezoning; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota adopts the amendment to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and supports the findings of fact in approval of the rezoning of said property from B -4 (regional business) district to R -4 (medium -high density residence) district.
