RESOLUTION NO. 2014-027
APPROVING CONVEYANCE OF FOUR PARCELS OF TAX - FORFEITED
LAND TO THE CITY OF MONTICELLO AND FORMALLY ESTABLISHING
AUTHORIZED PUBLIC USE OF SAID PARCELS:
PID 155 -123- 000030 (Outlot C, Rolling Woods)
PID 155 -142- 000010 (Outlot A, Groveland 3rd)
PID 155 - 160 - 000030 (Outlot C, Carlisle Village)
PID 155- 177 - 000010 (Outlot A, Nathans Court)
WHEREAS, parcels of land in the City of Monticello identified as PID 155- 123 - 000030, 155-
142- 000010, 155- 160 - 000030, and 155- 177 - 000010 have been forfeited to the State of
Minnesota for non - payment of taxes and are being prepared for public auction under MN State
Statutes, Chapter 282; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has an interest in acquiring these three parcel of tax - forfeited
property for the following authorized public uses:
155- 123 - 000030: public park and trail, passive recreation, stormwater pond
155- 142 - 000010: public trail segment
155 -160- 000030: public trail segment
155 -177- 000010: stormwater pond, public trail segment
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELL0,
MINNESOTA: that parcels 155 -123- 000030, 155- 142- 000010, 155- 160 - 000030, and 155 -177-
000010 be conveyed to the City of Monticello for authorized public use; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the following tax forfeit parcels are approved for sale at
public auction:
Lots 2 through 16, Block 1, Hillside 3rd Addition
Lots 1 through 8, Block 2, Hillside 3rd Addition
Lots 10 through 15, Block 2, Hillside 3rd Addition
Lots 1 through 7, Block 1, Hillside 4th Addition
Lots 1 through 10, Block 2, Hillside 4th Addition
Lots 4 and 5, Block I. Parkside at Meadow Oak grid Addition
ADOPTED BY the Monticello City Council this 10th day of March, 2014.
