A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AMENDMENTS
TO SECTION 2.3 AND 2.4 OF THE MONTICELLO ZONING ORDINANCE
RELATING TO REVISIONS TO REGULATIONS GOVERNING
PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed draft amendments to the City's zoning
regulations governing Planned Unit Development process; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes are consistent with the intent of the City's Comprehensive
Plan in promoting high quality development, while streamlining development processes when
possible; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 61', 2014 on the application
and members of the public were provided the opportunity to present information to the Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered all of the comments and the staff report,
which are incorporated by reference into the resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Monticello makes the following Findings
of Fact in relation to the approval of the zoning amendments:
1. The proposed amendments should lead to implementation of policies of the
Comprehensive Plan.
2. The proposed amendments will support the use of Planned Unit Development
design and City review of said projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of
Monticello, Minnesota, approves the proposed amendments as specified in the referenced staff
planning report.
