ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR AERATION BLOWER
INSTALLATION AND ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT FOR PHASE 1 OF WASTE
WATER TREATMENT FACILITY BIOSOLIDS IMPROVEMENTS,
CITY PROJECT NO. 12CO03
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the aeration blower installation and
ancillary equipment for the Phase 1 Improvements of the Waste Water Treatment Facility
Biosolids Improvements project, bids were received, opened, and tabulated, and the following
bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids:

Engineer's Estimate
$350,000.00
WHEREAS, the bid of Magney Construction, Inc., in the amount of $297,400.00 for the base bid
for aeration blower installation and ancillary equipment, in accordance with the approved plans
and specifications and advertisement for bids, shall be and hereby is accepted as the lowest
responsible bidder; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYRES"OLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MONTICELLO:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with said bidder for the installation of said equipment and appurtenant work for
and on behalf of the City of Monticello.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder
and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
