RESOLUTION NO. 2014-120
CANVASSING ELECTION RECOUNT AND RECERTIFYING RESULTS OF THE
2014 GENERAL ELECTION FOR CITY OF MONTICELLO MAYOR
AND COUNCIL MEMBER OFFICES
WHEREAS, the Deputy City Clerk/Elections Administrator has duly presented to the City
Council the results tapes of ballots cast in the November 4th, 2014 General Election, and returns
from the November 4th, 2014 General Election were canvassed and results declared at the
November 10th, 2014 Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, a recount of the second Council Member position was requested by Jim Davidson
on November 14th, 2014, and a recount was conducted by Wright County Election Officials on
November 21St, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the Monticello City Council canvassed the results of the election recount on
November 24th, 2014, and total votes cast for the second and third Council Member position are
as follows:
For Council Member (elected for 4 year term)
Charlotte Gabler 19465
Jim Davidson 1,458
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA, that the totals listed above are deemed to be correct, the
election is deemed to be valid, and the winners of the 2014 General Election are recertified as
follows:
For Mayor (2 year term): Brian Stumpf
For 2 Council Members (4 year term): Lloyd Hilgart and
Charlotte Gabler
