RESOLUTION NO. 2014-122
AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE LOCAL ROAD
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (LRIP) FOR INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS TO
T.H. 25 AND 7TH STREET
WHEREAS, the Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) was established in Minnesota
Statutes to provide funding assistance to local agencies on transportation projects; and
WHEREAS, the State Legislature appropriated $54.356 million during the 2014 regular session
for LRIP grants; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello is planning intersection improvements to T.H. 25 and 7th
Street in an effort to correct deficiencies related to the current operation of the intersection and
vehicle crash history;
NOW WHEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA: that the City of Monticello authorizes the submission of a grant application for
the Local Road Improvement Program to be used as a funding source for intersection
improvements at T.H. 25 and 7th Street.
