AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MONTICELLO CITY CODE,
TITLE 1, CHAPTER 5 — COUNCIL
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota:
Section 1. Title 1, Chapter 5 — Council, shall be amended as follows:
1 -5 -1: MEETINGS:
(A) Regular meetings of the Council shall be held on the second and fourth
Monday of each calendar month at a time to
be established and approved annually with the Regular Meeting
Schedule of Council and Commissions. Any regular meeting falling
upon a holiday shall be held on the next following business day at the
same time and place. All meetings, including special and adjourned
meetings shall be held in the City Hall City Council Chambers, unless the
notice of the special meeting designates a different location.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to make the changes required by this Ordinance
as part of the Official Monticello City Code, and to renumber the chapters
accordingly as necessary to provide the intended effect of this Ordinance. The
City Clerk is further directed to make necessary corrections to any internal
citations that result from said renumbering process, provided that such changes
retain the purpose and intent of the Monticello City Code as has been adopted.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage
and publication. The ordinance in its entirety shall be posted on the City website
after publication. Copies of the complete City Code are available online and at
Monticello City Hall for examination upon request.
