A SUMMARY ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, SECTION 3.7 OF THE
MONTICELLO ZONING CODE RELATING TO OVERLAY DISTRICTS,
ADDING REGULATIONS FOR THE SHORELAND DISTRICT AND THE
WILD AND SCENIC RECREATIONAL RIVER DISTRICT,
AND REPEALING CHAPTER 27 OF THE MONTICELLO ZONING CODE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on April 9, 2012, Ordinance No. 545 was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota. Due to the lengthy nature of
Ordinance No. 545, the following Summary Ordinance No. 545A has been prepared for
publication as authorized by state law.
The ordinance adopted by the Council repeals Chapter 27 of the Monticello Zoning Code
which regulated the Management of the Mississippi Wild, Scenic, and Recreational River
System and the Shoreland areas of the City of Monticello.
The ordinance adopted by the Council amends Title 10, Section 3.7 of the Monticello
Zoning Code. The general purpose of the ordinance amendment is to add new Overlay Zoning
Regulations for the Shoreland District and the Wild and Scenic Recreational River District with
changes in the following sections:
