A SUMMARY ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 2 OF THE
MONTICELLO CITY CODE RELATING TO UTILITY EXCAVATIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on February 27, 2012, Ordinance No. 549 was
adopted by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota. Due to the lengthy nature of
Ordinance No. 549, the following Summary Ordinance No. 549A has been prepared for
publication as authorized by state law.
The ordinance adopted by the Council amends the Utility Excavation ordinance, Title 8,
Chapter 2 of the Monticello City Code. The general purpose of the ordinance amendment is to
update rules and regulations related to processing of Utility Excavation permits in the City of
Monticello with changes in the following sections:
