AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE 2012 FEE SCHEDULE
WITH AMENDED WATER & SEWER RATES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on March 12, 2012, Ordinance No. 552 was adopted by the
City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota, creating the following revisions to the 2012
Fee Schedule.
Section 1. The Fee Schedule category, Sanitary te, of the Monticello City Code, Title 20
shall be amended as follows:
Sewer rate fee structure changes at 12 %:
Sewer Rates: 1" 3740 gallons
Over 3740 gallons
Sewer Rates - Special Cases:
$18.7600 minimum
$3.3600/748 gallons
$22.40 X number of people in household
Industrial Sewer Rates: All Usage $2.016/748 gallons + sales tax
BOD5: $0.320/lb. + sales tax (no change)
TSS: $0.440/lb. + sales tax (no change)
Section 2. The Fee Schedule category, Water, of the Monticello City Code, Title 20 shall be
amended as follows:
Water rate fee structure changes at 8 %:
Resid Water: 1" 3740 gallons
3741 -29920 gallons
29921- 100,000 gallons
Over 100,000 gallons
Comm/Industrial Water Rate, Mtr 1
All Usage
$15.4440 minimum
$1.0260/748 gallons
$1.1880/748 gallons
$1.2960/748 gallons
$1.2312/748 gallons + sales tax
Irrigation Water Rate for Resid, Twnhms & Comm: (if metered separately on commercial
properties, no minimum base rate is applied)
1" 3740 gallons $15.4440 minimum + sales tax
3741 -29920 gallons $1.0260/748 gallons + sales tax
29921- 100,000 gallons $11880/748 gallons + sales tax
Over 100,000 gallons $1.2960/748 gallons + sales tax
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage
and publication. The ordinance in its entirety shall be posted on the City website
after publication. Copies of the complete Ordinance are available online and at
Monticello City Hall for examination upon request.
