RESOLUTION NO. 2008-52
RESOLUTION APPROVING (PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR FIBER OP'T'IC NETWORK
CITY PROJECT NO. 2006-32C
WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Council on May 12, 2008 Spectrum Engineering
Corporation (SEC), consulting engineer, has prepared plans and specifications for the construction
of a revised fiber optic to the home network system and has presented such plans and
specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, are
hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement
for bid upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published one day, shall specify the work to be
done, and shall state that bids will be opened at 1 p.m. on July 22, 2008 and that the award
of the bid and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at
7 p.m. on July 28, 2008 in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Any bidder whose
responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to
address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid
bond or certified check payable to the City for five percent of the amount of such bid.
