RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR FIBER OPTICS HEAD -END BUILDING
PROJECT NO. 2006-32C
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the head -end building and
garage footings and foundation and other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened,
tabulated and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids:

WHEREAS, the bid of KC Companies, Inc. of Waite Park, MN in the amount of $555,000 for the bid
for the construction of said improvements in accordance with the plans and specifications and
advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bidder and shall be and hereby is accepted, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE C[77 CO UNCLE OF THE CITY OF
MONTICELLO.
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of
Monticello.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
