RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
FIRER OPTIC NETWORKS
PROJECT NO. 2006-32C
WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared for the construction of the first three phases
of the outside plant for the fiber optic network, is prepared to bid the plans and specifications to
prequalified contractors following Council approval of said plans and has presented such plans and
specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYRESOLVEV BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OFMONTICELLO,16IINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are
hereby approved.
2. The plans and specifications shall be submitted to those contractors who met the pre-
qualification requirements. Award of the contract will be considered by the City Council at
7 p.m. on June 9, 2008 in the Council Chambers of Cit Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility
is questioned during the consideration of the award of the contract will be given an
opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's
check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City for 5% of the amount of such bid.
