RESOLUTION NO. 2007 23
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on April 24, 2006, the WSB and
Associates, Inc. the City's consulting engineer, has prepared plans and specifications for the
improvement of the City's storm sewer system by the construction of two pond expansioms; one at
the Monticello Middle School and the other located east of A Glorious Church, and has presented
such plans and specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT IIEREBYNESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITI'
OFMONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are
hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the maldng of such improvement under
such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two days,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened at 10 a.m. Monday May
77 2007 and that the bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City
Council at 7 p.m. on May 14, 2007 in the Council Chambers of Cit Hall. Any bidder whose
responsibility is questioned during the consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to
address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed
and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or
certified check payable to the City for 5% of the amount of such bid.
