RESOLUTION NO. 2007-12 A
RESOLUTION TO WRIGHT COUNTY IN SUPPORT OF THE
AUTHORIZATION OF THE COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION
TO PERFORM AN ENGINEERING AND TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION TO
DETERMINE THE REASONABLE AND SAFE SPEED LIMIT ON THE
FOLLOWING MIGHT COUNTY HIGHWAYS:
CSAH 18 - From School Boulevard to CSAH 75 within
the City of Monticello
WHEREAS, per MN Statute 169.14, the authority to determine the safe and reasonable speed on a
County Highway resides with the Minnesota Commissioner of Transportation, and;
WHEREAS, it is in the best Merest of all parties to have reasonable and safe speeds posted on
County Highways and City Streets, and;
WHEREAS, the accepted method to determine the reasonable and safe speed is through an
engineering and traffic investigation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello hereby approves this
resolution to Wright County in support of the authorization of the Minnesota Commissioner of
Transportation to perform an engineering and traffic investigation to determine the reasonable and
safe speed limit at the above referenced location.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Monticell o agrees to
support the conclusions of the study, and the implementation of such conclusions.
