RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING REARING ON IMPROVEMENT
2007 STREET RECONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 2007 -01C
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted December 11, 2006 a report has been
prepared by WSB and Associates with refercnoe to the improvement of Area 3 of the Street
Reconstruction Program including River Street from Craig Lane to CSAH 75, Craig Lane, Kenneth
Lane, Hillcrest Road, Hillcrest Circle, Hilltop Drive, Matthew Circle and on River Street from
CSAH 75 to the City Ballfield. Said improvements to include street widening, street reconstruction
including milling and overlay, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, extension of sanitary sewer
and water main along River Street in the area of the ball fields, replacement of sanitary sewer line
on Craig Line and other necessary appurtenant work and this report was received by the City
Council on February 26, 2007 and;
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary,
cost - effective and feasible;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HRREBYRESOLYED BY THE CnT COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and
assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant
to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of
$2,098,300.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 12d, day of March,
2007 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7 p.m. and the clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
