RIESOLUTION NO. 2007-37
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ADVERTISING FOR BIDS
CITY PROJECT NO. 2006-31C
CHELSEA ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc. Have prepared final plans and specifications for the reconstruction of
Chelsea Road from CSAH 18 to west of Fallon Avenue and the realignment of the Chelsea RoaWallon
Avenue intersection bu street reconstruction, storm sewer, left turn lanes, storm sewer and pathway to be bid
as an alternate and other appurtenant work identified as City Project No. 2006 -31C and such plans and
specifications have been presented to the City Council for approval;
NOW THEREFOdtE, BE IT HEREB yF EWSOLYED BI' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the Office of the City
Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement. for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications.
The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications for two days, shall specify the work
to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened on June 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. and that the
responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the Council at 7 p.m. on June 25, 2007 in the
Council Chambers at City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of
the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will
be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's
check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid.
