RESOLUTION NO. 2006-5
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PETITION FOR IMPROVEMENT'S
AND AUTHORIZE UPDATE FEASIBILITY REPORT
WHEREAS, a petition has been received requesting improvements to that portion of Cedar Street
from Chelsea Road to Dundas Road, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has requested that improvement of Dundas Road from Cedar Street to
Edmonson Avenue also be studied,
NOW THEREFORE RE IT HEREBY RESOL VED B THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
A certain petition requesting the improvement of Cedar Street from Chelsea Road to Dundas
Road by reconstruction of Cedar Street, road widening, storm sewer improvements and other
necessary work, filed with the Council on January 23, 2006 is hereby declared to be signed by
the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in
conformity to Minn. Stat. § 429.035.
2. The petition is hereby referred to WSB & Associates, Inc. and they are instructed to report to
the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether
the proposed improvement is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible and as to whether it
should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the
estimated cost of the improvement as recommended..
