RESOLUTION NO. 2006-3
RESOLUTION APPROVING OUT -OF -STATE TRAVEL FOR
THE PURPOSE OF EVALUATING DRYING SYSTEMS FOR
BIOSOLIDS TREATMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Monticello recognizes that its elected officials may
at times travel out of the state for workshops, conferences, events and other city related
assignments; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes §471.661 (Laws 2005, Ch. 156, Art. 2, §38) requires all of the
state's political subdivisions to develop a policy that controls travel outside of the State of
Minnesota by elected officials, and;
WHERFAS, the City has, in Resolution #2006 -1, adopted a policy guiding out of state travel by
its elected officials and has applied that policy in reviewing a request for such travel for the
following purpose:
To review and study the biosolids treatment facility located in Denmark utilizing the
drying system manufactured by Kruger, Inc. located in Denmark. Kruger, Inc. is
providing air fare, ground transportation and lodging for two city representatives.
NOW THEREFORE, RE ITHEREBYRESOLVD by the City Council of the City of
Monticello that the requested travel subject to restrictions specified in Resolution #2006 -1, other
applicable city policies and any addition restrictions specified herein is approved.
