RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
2006 SEALCOATING PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 2006-16C
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of School Boulevard from
Fallon Avenue to Edmonson Avenue, r Street from Washington Stmt to Cedar Street and the
Wildwood Ridge and Rolling Woods developments by sealcoating and other appurtenant work, bids
were received opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
Allied Blacktop Co. $43,957.62
Pearson Brothers Inc. X44.462.88
Astech Corporation 1$59,115.42
WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop Co. of Maple Grove, Minnesota is the lowest responsible
bidder;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLYED BY TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, AMWESOTA:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract
with Allied Blacktop Co.. of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the name of the City of Monticello
for the improvement of School Boulevard from Fallon Avenue to Edmonson Avenue, 7`'`
Street from Washington Street to Cedar Street and the Wildwood Ridge and Rolling Woods
developments by sealcoating and other appurtenant work according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest
bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the Monticello City Council this 101 day of July, 2006.
