City Council Resolution 2006-71CrFY OF MONI'ICELLO RESOLUTION NO. 2006-71 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS EXTENSION OF DALTON AVENUE, DALTON COURT AND DALTON WAY PROJECT NO. 2006-15C. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the extension of Dalton Avenue from its existing terminus approximately 800 feet south and the construction of Dalton Court from Dalton Avenue northwest approximately 830 feet to the west edge of the business campus and Dalton Way 600 feet to the east. Said improvements include constructing roadways to a 44 foot wide urban design with a bituminous pathway extending along the east of Dalton Avenue, utility extensions, storm sewer improvements, street lighting improvements, and other appurtenant work, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYRESOL NED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF M0rV 10ELLO. 1. Such plans and specifications, a. copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Admmistrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state the date bids will be received by the City Administrator until 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2006 at which time the bids will be opened by the City Engineer and City Administrator, tabulated and considered by the City Council on September 25, 2006. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bid will be consider unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City for 5% of the amount of such bid.
