City Council Resolution 2005-24CITY OF MONTICELLO WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2005-24 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS SCHOOL BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS FROM DEEGAN AVENUE TO EDMONSON AVENUE, PROJECT NO. 2004-31C WHEREAS, the consulting engineers for the City have prepared final plans and specifications for the construction of improvements to School Boulevard from just west of TH 25 (Deegan Avenue) to Edmonson Avenue a distance of approximately 3,000 feet including milling of existing roadway surface, installing a raised concrete median with center left turn lanes, addition of right turn lanes and the construction of access driveways for Wal-Mart and the future development on the north side of School Boulevard between Cedar Street and Edmonson Avenue and such plans and specifications have been presented to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota: Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the Office of the City Administrator. 2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the Monticello Times, The official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin and advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement sunder such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications for three day, shall specify the work to be done, shall state the City Administrator will received bids until Friday, April 8, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at which time they will be opened and tabulated by the City Administrator and City Engineer and will be considered by the City Council on April 11, 2005 and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council on April 11, 2005 in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City for 5% of the amount of such bid.
