RESOLUTION NO. 2005-44
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
HILLSIDE FARMS STORM SEWER OUTLET PROJECT NO. 2004-7C
WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, the consulting engineers for the City have prepared final plans and
specifications for the construction of a storm sewer outlet for the Hillside Farms watershed by
construction of a storm sewer outlet from the Hillside Farms regional pond to the Rolling Woods
pond using directional boring, and such plans and specifications have been presented to the Council
for approval
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of
the City Administrator.
2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper of the
City and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications.
The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications not less than three weeks
before the date for opening bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be
publicly opened on May 6, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. and the bids and the responsibility of the
bidders will be considered by the City Council on May 9, 2005 at 7 p.m. in the Council
Chambers of City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration
of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issues of responsibility.
No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the
City for 5% of the amount of such bid.
