RESOLUTION NO. 2005-74
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
7" STREET EXTENSION (ST HENRY'S CHURCH TO CSAH 18) AND
HIGHLAND WAY (7T" STREET TO CSAH 75)
PROJECT NO. 2004-2C
WHEREAS, the WSB & Associates, Inc., engineers for the City have prepared final plans and
specifications for the extension of 7" Street from St. Henry's Church to CSAH 18 and the
construction Highland Way from 7" Street to CSAH 75 by the construction of an urban section
roadway with concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, utility improvements and other appurtenant work,
City Project No. 2004-2C, and such plans and specifications have been presented to the Council for
approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota:
Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the Office of
the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper city newspaper
and in the Construction Bulleting an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications.
The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than
three weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall state
that bids will be publicly opened on Friday, August 5, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at the City Hall and
will be considered by the Council on August 8, 2005 at 7 p.m. and that no bids will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit,
cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5% of the amount of such
bid.
Adopted by the Monticello City Council this 11 " day of July, 2005.
