City Council Resolution 2005-67WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2005-67 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS MEADOW OAK AVENUE EXTENSION, PROJECT NO. 2005-5C AND A PORTION OF THE CSAH 18/1-94 INTERCHANGE PROJECT NO. 2004-1 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the extension of Meadow Oak Avenue from the current termini to CSAH 18 and the reconstruction of a segment of CSAH 18 from the proposed Meadow Oak Avenue to School Boulevard and CSAH 39 from CSAH 75 to Hart Boulevard as part of the CSAH 28-I-94 Interchange Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID R.L. Larson Excavating, Inc. $1,913,089.40 Three Rivers Construction, Inc. $2,081,721.12 WHEREAS, it appears that R.L. Larson Excavating of St. Cloud, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with R.L. Larson Excavating, Inc. of St. Cloud, Minnesota in the name of the City of Monticello for the extension of Meadow Oak Avenue from the current termini to CSAH 18 and the reconstruction of a segment of CSAH 18 from the proposed Meadow Oak Avenue to School Boulevard and CSAH 39 from CSAH 75 to Hart Boulevard as part of the CSAH 28-I-94 Interchange Project, according to the plans and specification therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator. 2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
