City Council Resolution 2005-53WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2005-53 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID SOUTHEAST SEWER INTERCEPTOR/BONDHUS SEGMENT PROJECT NO. 2000-12C WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of a trunk sanitary sewer from CSAH 75 across the Bondus property to Fallon Avenue and extension of a 24 inch sewer line to the reservoir lift station on the north side of Chelsea Road and other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: CONTRACTOR BID ALTERNATIVE 91 BID ALTERNATE #2 Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. $3,157,148.15 $2,641,714.15 S.J. Hentges & Sons, Inc. $45009,388.40 $3025778.15 WHEREAS, it appears that Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. of Osseo, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. of Osseo, Minnesota in the name of the City of Monticello for the construction of a trunk sanitary sewer from CSAH 75 across the Bondus property to Fallon Avenue and extension of a 24 inch sewer line to the reservoir lift station on the north side of Chelsea Road and other necessary appurtenant work according to the plans and specifications thereof approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
