RESOLUTION NO. 2004-06
RESOLUTION DECERTIFYING ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Monticello passed Resolution No.2003-23
directing Wright County to specially assess parcels identified within the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City's assessment roll that was sent to the County included the property
described in Resolution No.2003-23; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the assessments should not be collected through the
use of the assessment due to the nature and type of expenses involved; and
WHEREAS, the City has other options regarding the collection of the costs incurred by the
property owners other than the special assessment procedures; and
WHEREAS, the de -certification of the Assessment described in Resolution No.2002-23 will
allow the City to pursue other methods of collection of the costs and expenses.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Monticello as
follows:
1. That City of Monticello Resolution No.2003-23 is hereby declared null and void and the
assessments are de -certified.
2. The City Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the County
Auditor in and for Wright County, Minnesota.
