City Council Resolution 2004-71RESOLUTION 2004-71 CITY OF MONTICELLO RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PRELIMINARY 2005 BUDGET AND SETTING THE TAX LEVY WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submitted to the City Council a preliminary budget setting forth therein his estimated needs of the City of Monticello for all operations and the debt service for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 2005, and; WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the same and has made such changes therein as appearing to be in the best interest of the City of Monticello; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO that the preliminary budget so submitted by the City Administrator, together with the changes made therein by the City Council, be and same hereby is adopted as a preliminary budget for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 2005; and BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED by the council of the City of Monticello that there b a preliminary levy for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 2005 and the following sums for the respective purposes indicated therein upon the taxable property of the City of Monticello, to wit: The above resolution was introduced by Councilmember Smith was duly seconded by Councilmember Stumpf with the following voting in favor thereof. Carlson, Smith, Stumpf and Thielen. The following voting in opposition: Posusta Net Certified Levy OAA $4,800 Tree $59,605 Transportation $59,170 General $3,653,974 Community Center $1,007,23 5 Parks $785,015 Library $36,970 HRA $21,990 Debt Service Fund $784,156 Capital Outlay Fund $4500 Street Reconstruction Fund $500,000 TOTAL TAX LEVY $699579915 The above resolution was introduced by Councilmember Smith was duly seconded by Councilmember Stumpf with the following voting in favor thereof.
