RESOLUTION NO. 2004-66
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
TH 25/SCHOOL BOULEVARD SIGNAL
PROJECT NO. 2004-19C.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of the
intersection of TH 25 and School Boulevard by the installation of a traffic signal and other appurtenant
work, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MONTICELLO:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are
hereby approved.
2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under
such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement for bid is contingent upon MnDOT
approval of plans and specifications and subject to their bidding requirements. Upon receipt of
MnDOT approval, the advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to
be done, shall state the date bids will be received by the City Administrator, the time bids will
be opened by the City Engineer and City Administrator, tabulated and considered by the City
Council . Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be
given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bid will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash
deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City for 5% of the amount of
such bid.
