RESOLUTION NO. 2004-65
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ADVERTISING FOR BIDS
I-94/SUNSET PONDS WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. 2004-10C.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of trunk
water system by the construction of a water main extension from Meadow Oaks under I-94 to serve the
Sunset Ponds development and other appurtenant work, and has presented such plans and
specifications to the Council for approval,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYRESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MONTICELLO:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are
hereby approved.
2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids apon the making of such improvement under
such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state, bids will be received by the City Administrator
until 10 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2004 will be opened by the City Engineer and City
Administrator, tabulated and considered by the City Council on September 27, 2004 at 7 p.m. in
the Council Chambers of City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during
consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of
responsibility. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator
and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the
City for 5% of the amount of such bid.
