City Council Resolution 2004-83RESOLUTION NO. 2004-83 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS JEFFERSON COMMONS POND PROJECT NO. 2004-33c WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the City's storm sewer infrastructure by the construction of a storm water detention pond in the Jefferson Commons plat and all other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID Cowan Grading & Excavating $51,840.75 S.R. Larson Excavating, Inc. $64,189.50 Enebak Construction Company $681317.50 Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $69,868.75 Imperial Developers, Inc. $83,921.00 Doboszenski & Sons, Inc. $86,028.85 Dennis Fehn Gravel & Excavating, Inc. $89,436.25 Frattalone Companies, Inc. $1 1 1,877.75 Veit & Company, Inc. $116,496.25 Blue Sky Excavating, Inc.. $144,406.25 Sunram Construction, Inc. $170,636.55 Schluender Construction, Inc. $178,895.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Cowan Grading & Excavating, Inc. of Farmington, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL TEED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFMONTICELLO, MINNESOTA: The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Cowan Grading & Excavating, Inc. of Farmington, Minnesota for the improvement of the City's storm sewer infrastructure by the construction of a storm water detention pond in the Jefferson Commons plat and all other necessary appurtenant work, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file at the city offices. 2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
