RESOLUTION NO. 2004-101
RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR
PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT
2005 CORE STREET PROJECT NO. 2005 -IC
WHEREAS, a report has been prepared by WSB and Associates, Inc. with reference to the Core
Street Reconstruction Project, Year 3 which calls for the improvement of the following streets:
Hillcrest Circle, Matthew Circle, Oak View Circle, Craig Lane, Kenneth Lane, Riverside Circle,
Chestnut Avenue from CSAH 75 to River Street, River Street from CSAH 75 to Chestnut Avenue,
Hillcrest Road, Hilltop Drive, Sandy Lane from CSAH 75 to Willow Street, Otter Creek Road and
Willow Street, by the reconstruction of the existing roadway surface, curb and gutter repair as needed,
new curb and gutter in areas without curb and gutter, storm sewer improvements and other
appurtenant work, and this report was received by the Council on December 13, 2004
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary,
cost-effective, and feasible;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFMONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and
the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of
$1,489,186.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 10" day of January,
2005 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7 p.m. and the City Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
