City Council Resolution 2002-61ACITY OF MONTICELLO RESOLUTION NO. 2002-61A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISING FOR BIDS CEDAR STREET FROM DUNDAS ROAD TO KJELLBERG' S PROJECT NO. 2002-06C. WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Monticello City Council on August 12, 2002, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of Cedar Street from Dundas Road to a point approximately 1,100 feet south of School Boulevard or to the north edge of Kj ellberg's East Mobile Home Park and the improvement of Dundas road from cedar Street westerly to County Road 117 by the construction of street improvements, utilities, storm drainage improvements and other appurtenant work, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval, NO W THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y R ESOL VED B Y THE CITY CO UNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO: Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall stated bids will be received by the City Administrator until 10 a.m. on October 11, 2002, will be opened by the City Engineer and City Administrator, tabulated and considered by the City Council on October 14, 2002 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City for 5% of the amount of such bid.
