CITY OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT
AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING
PARKING LOT RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT NO. 2002-08C
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve the public parking lot located on Block 35 of the Original Plat of the
City of Monticello by removing the existing layers of bituminous, reshape and add to the Class V, add a 2"
layer of base course and a 1 1/2" wearing course and construct related drainage and other appurtenant work
and to assess those benefitting property within the six block area (Block 34,35,36, 51,52 and 53, Original
Plat) for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter, 492, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has been instructed to prepare a feasibility report as to whether the proposed
improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed
OF in connection with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and the
assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $48,245.40.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 12" day of August in the
Council Chambers at the Monticello City Hall at 7 p.m. and the City Administrator shall give mailed
and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
Adopted by the Monticello City Council this 12" day of August, 2002.
