RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 98-25C
CHELSEA ROAD WEST (SANDBERG ROAD TO 90TH STREET)
AND
GROVELAND PHASE I
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted November 22, 1999, a report has been
prepared by the City Engineer, WSB Inc. with reference to the improvement of Chelsea Road West
from Sandberg Road to 90' Street by the construction of streets, sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer
and appurtenant improvements and the improvement of Phase I of the Groveland residential development
by the installation of streets, sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and all other appurtenant
improvements, and this report was received by the Council on February 14, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary,
cost-effective, and feasible,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the feasibility
report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of
$3,371,500.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 28th day of February, 2000
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 7 p.m. and the City Administrator shall give mailed
and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
