ORDINANCE NO. 389
AN ORDINANCE IN THE CITY OF MONTICELLO
ANNEXING LAND LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF MONTICELLO
WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA TO THE CITY OF MONTICELLO
WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA PURSUANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES 414.033 SUBDIVISION 2
ADMITTING ANNEXATION BY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the property described on the attached Exhibit A is not presently within the corporate limits of
any incorporated city,
WHEREAS, this property is abutting the corporate limits of the City of Monticello and the property is
deemed to be urban or suburban in character; and
WHEREAS, the property described in Exhibit A contains approximately 49.61 acres and is vacant land
containing no population,
WHEREAS, the City held a public hearing on the matter- on the 9"' day of June, 2003 and provided 30 days
written notice by certified mail to the Township of Monticello and to all landowners within and contiguous to
the area described in Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the property described in Exhibit A does not lie in a flood plain or shoreland;
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED B )' THE CITY COUNCIL OF AlIONTICELL O,
MINNESOTA:
1. Territory Annexed: The corporate limits of the City of Monticello are hereby extended to include
the unplatted property described on the attached Exhibit A.
2. Filing: The City Clerk is directed to file certified copies of this ordinance with the Secretary of state,
the County Auditor of the county in which the property is located, the Town Clerk of the affected
township and the Municipal. Boundary Adjustments.
3. Effective Date of Annexation: This ordinance takes effect upon its passage and publication, the
tiling of certified copies as directed in Section 2 and approval by the Municipal Boundary
Adj ustments.
Adopted by the City of Monticello this 9"' day of June, 2003.

The Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19 and the East Half of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 18, all in Township 121, Range 24, Wright County, Minnesota lying northeasterly of
the northeasterly right of way line of Interstate 94 except the West 432.00 feet of said East Half of the
Southeast Quarter.
Also the North 25 feet of the East 22 rods of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18,
Township 121, Range 24, Wright County. Minnesota.
