ORDINANCE NO. 385
AN ORDINANCE IN THE CITY OF MONTICELLO
ANNEXING LAND LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF MONTICELLO
WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA TO THE CITY OF MONTICELLO
WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA PURSUANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES 414.033 SUBDIVISION 2
ADMITTING ANNEXATION BY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the property described on the attached Exhibit A is not presently within the corporate limits of
any incorporated city,
WHEREAS, this property is surrounded by the corporate limits of the City of Monticello and the property is
deemed to be urban or suburban in character; and
WHEREAS, the property described in Exhibit A contains approximately .76 acres and is vacant land
containing no population.
WHEREAS, the City held a public hearing on the matter on the 14" day of April, 2003 and provided 30 days
written notice by certified mail to the Township of Monticello and to all landowners within and contiguous to
the area described in Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the property described in Exhibit A does not lie in a flood plain or shoreland;
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
Territory Annexed: The corporate limits of the City of Monticello are hereby extended to include
the unplatted property described on the attached Exhibit A.
2. Filing: The City Clerk is directed to file certified copies of this ordinance with the Secretary of State,
the County Auditor of the county in which the property is located, the Town Clerk of the affected
township and the Municipal Boundary Adjustments.
3 . Effective Date of Annexation: This ordinance takes effect upon its passage and publication, the
filing of certified copies as directed in Section 2 and approval by the Municipal Boundary
Adjustments.
Adopted by the City of Monticello this 14th day of April, 2003.

Legal Description
The North 66.00 feet of the Southwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 121 North, range 25
West, lying west of the westerly right of way line of Minnesota Trunk Highway 25
AND
That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 121 North, Range 25 West,
described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the North 66.00 feet of the Southwest Quarter of Section
14, Township 121 North, Range 25 West; thence west, parallel with the north line of said
Southeast Quarter, 66.00 feet; thence north parallel with the east line of the said Southeast
Quarter, 66.00 feet to the north line of said Southeast Quarter; thence east, along said north
line 66.00 feet to the northeast corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence south along the east
line of said Southeast Quarter, 66.00 feet, to the point of beginning.
