AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 5, CHAPTER 4
MONTICELLO CITY ORDINANCE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Title 5, Chapter 4, Section 5-4-3:(A) 5 is amended to read as follows:
The required maintenance and management of designated prairie grass areas when
performed by or with the assistance of the Fire Department.
Section 2: Title 5, Chapter 4, Section 5-4-3:(B) 7(a) is amended to read as follows:
(a) The location of the burning shall not be within 600 feet of an occupied residence
other than those located on the property on which the burning is conducted. The
distance can be reduced when the burn is performed by or with the assistance of the
Fire Department.
Section 3: Title 5, Chapter 4, Section 5-4-7: (A) is amended to read as follows:
(A) Only dry raw wood, coal or charcoal is burned. No painted or treated wood shall
be burned in a recreational fire.
Section 4: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect and be in frill force from and after its passage
and publication.
