AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PENALTY AMOUNTS LEVIED UNDER
CITY ORDINANCES PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED
The City Council of the City of Monticello does hereby ordain:

Title 111, Chapter 10, Section 3-10-14
Title III, Chapter 11, Section 3-11-13
Title III, Chapter 14, Section 3-14-13
Title IV, Chapter 1, Section 4-1-6
Title V, Chapter 1, Section 5-1-9(A)
Title V, Chapter 4, Section 5-4-8
Title VI, Chapter 1, Section 6-1 -10(B.4) and (C.2)
Title VI, Chapter 2, Section 6-2-26(K)
Title VI, Chapter 5, Section 6-5-8
Title VII, Chapter 1, Section 7-1-3(A),(B) and Section 7-1-4(B)
Title VII, Chapter 6, Section 7-6-10(B.3)

are hereby amended to delete language referencing maximum fees and penalty amounts and adding
the following:
Any person violating any provision of this ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be punished not more than the maximum penalty for a misdemeanor
as prescribed by state law.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and publication.
Adopted by the Monticello City Council this 8"' of January, 2001.
