MINUTES
MONTICELLO LIBRARY BOARD
Monday, November 15, 1982 - 7:00 P.M.
Members Present: Loren Klein, Pat Schwarz, Joel Erickson, Don Maus,
Marge Bauer.
Members Absent: Irv Kallin.
1. The minutes of the Library Board Meeting held on May 20, 1982
were approved.
2. Chairman Klein gave a brief report on the building budget. $5,000
remains to be paid to the contractor. This amount will be withheld
until certain problems with the building are taken care of. The
building came in $1,142.56 under budget. The landscaping put in
in May went $500 over the money budgeted, however, this was by
Council order.

1983 budget includes a $5,000 reserve. As certain materials
still needed for the library to function efficiently, a motion
made by Schwarz to purchase the following equipment:

A.
Table for copy machine.
B. Kitchen cupboard units.
C. Two bookdrops - one for circulation desk, one for outside book
drop on north side of building.
D. 32 padded folding chairs for the Community Room. These would
be marked for the library and shared with the City.
E. Four chairs for work room - identical to those around circular
table.
F. Two boxes - one for incoming delivery, one for outgoing delivery.
G. Closet pole and shelves.
H. Video equipment unit.
I. Surrounds for metal file cabinets.
J. Desk for work room.

A motion was seconded by Erickson and passed.
4. Amotion was made by Maus to secure the building more efficiently with
a lock on the door between the work room and library. Also, an
emergency bar with fire alarm would be installed on the door to the
work room from the hallway. Seconded by Schwarz and passed.
