RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND
CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
CHELSEA ROAD/MARVIN ROAD EXTENSION, PROJECT NO. 98-07C
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted April 13, 1998, a report has been
prepared by WSB and Associates, Inc. with reference to the improvement of Marvin Road from
Chelsea Road to the existing Oakwood Drive by the construction of a 44 foot wide urban street
with sanitary sewer, water, and storm sewer improvements, and this report was received by the
City Council on May 26, 1998, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible,
WHEREAS, authorization of the plans is contingent upon the developer submitting to the
City $3,800, the estimated for the plans and specifications,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
The Cotmcil will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report
and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $997,958.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 8r" day of June,
1998 in the council chambers of the City Hall at 7:00 p.m and the City Administrator
shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by
law.
