RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID, AWARDING PROJECT,
AND ORDERING PROJECT FOR
FIRE HALL PARKING AND DRIVEWAY AREA IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvements to the fire hall driveway
and parking areas, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the following
bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Bauerly Brothers $35,611.20
Buffalo Bituminous $41,888.60
Expert Asphalt $43,764.00
AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Bauerly Brothers of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with Bauerly Brothers of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, in the name of the City of
Monticello for the improvements to the fire hall driveway and parking areas according to
the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
3. The project is hereby ordered.
Adopted by the City Council this 28th day of September, 1998.
