RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT,
AND RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
FOR TRUNK STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION
PROJECT 97-07C MONTICELLO HIGH SCHOOL
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve the site of the New Monticello High School located north of School
Boulevard between Fallon Avenue and County Road 118 by the construction of approximately 3,100 lineal
feet of trunk storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances and to assess the benefitted property for all or a
portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement was referred to WSB and Associates for study and they were
directed to report to the council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible
and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection some other improvement and the
estimated cost of the improvement as recommended, and
WHEREAS, a report has been prepared by WSB and Associates with reference to the improvements to the
site of the New Monticello High School located north of School Boulevard between Fallon Avenue and
County Road 118 by the construction of approximately 3,1001ineal feet of trunk storm sewer and all
necessary appurtenances and this report was received by the council on June 23, 1997,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
The council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and the
assessment of properties abutting the improvement and properties within the watershed district
for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 at an
estimated total cost of the improvement of $420,300.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 14th day of July, 1997
at 7 p.m. and the clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as
required by law.
