RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ADEQUACY OF PETITION,
ACCEPTING UPDATED FEASIBILITY STUDY FIGURES,
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
BRIAR, OAKES ESTATE 2ND ADDITION
WHEREAS, a certain petition requesting public improvements to Briar Oakes
Estate 2nd Addition residential subdivision consisting of street, sanitary sewer,
water main, and storm sewer improvements was filed with the Council on April 8,
1996, was signed by 100 percent of owners of property affected thereby; and
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted on the 10th day of June, 1991,
accepted a feasibility study for Briar Oakes 1st and 2nd Additions; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has updated the 1991 cost figures for phase II of the
original project based on the design accepted with the original feasibility study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Monticello:
1. A petition for public improvements for Briar Oakes Estate 2nd Addition is
declared to be signed by 100 percent of the affected property owners.
2. The updated feasibility study cost figures are hereby accepted, and such
improvements are hereby ordered.
3. Bret Weiss of WSB & Associates, Inc., is hereby designated as the engineer
for this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for making
such improvements.
