City Council Resolution 1996-50RESOLUTION 96-50 RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1997 BUDGET AND SETTING THE TAX LEVY WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submitted to the City Council a budget setting forth therein his estimated needs of the City of Monticello for all operations and the debt service for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1997; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the same and has made such changes therein as appear to be in the best interest of the City of Monticello; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO that the budget so submitted by the City Administrator, together with the changes made therein by the City Council, be and same hereby is adopted as a budget for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1997; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Monticello that there be and hereby is levied for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1997, and the following sums for the respective purposes indicated therein upon the taxable property of the City of Monticello, to wit: REVENUE General Library OAA HRA Transportation DEBT RETIREMENT Debt Service Fund CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS Capital Improvement Revolving TOTAL TAX LEVY NET CERTIFIED LE V HACA LEVY $2,137,625 $170,099 $1,967,526 31,095 0 31,095 1,055 78 977 14,060 1,094 12,966 15,854 1,250 14,604 $ 605,022 $ 47,447 $ 557,575 $ 515,578 40,441 8 475,137 $3,320,289 $260,409 $3,059,880 The above resolution was introduced by Councilmember Anderson , was duly seconded by Councilmember Perrault , with the following voting in favor thereof: Brad Fyle, Shirley Anderson, Clint Herbst, Brian Stumpf, Tom Perrault The following voting in the opposition: None The City Administrator is hereby instructed to transmit Auditor of Wright County, Minnesota.
