City Council Resolution 1995-09A (2)RESOLUTION 95-9A RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR RE -BIDS, AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE MEADOW OAK STORM SEWER OUTLET PROJECT 93-12C WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on August 22, 1994, the Consulting City Engineer, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, has prepared revised plans and specifications for the improvement of the Meadow Oak storm sewer outlet extending from the Meadow Oak subdivision to the Mississippi River along Gillard Avenue alignment and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 3 p.m., March 3, 1995, at which time they will be publicly opened by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at 7 p.m., March 13, 1995, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for 5% of the amount of such bid. 3. A public hearing shall be held on this improvement on the 13th day of March, 1995, in the council chambers of the city hall at 7 p.m., and the City Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement to all benefiting property owners.
