RESOLUTION DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION,
ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY STUDY, ORDERING PROJECT,
AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
SOUTHWEST AREA SANITARY SEWER AND
WATER MAIN PROJECT
(Gould Brothers Chevrolet and D & D Bus)
WHEREAS, a certain petition requesting extension of sewer and water services
from the present position at Sandberg Road westerly to the properties known as
Gould Brothers Chevrolet and D & D Bus Company was filed with the Council on
November 11, 1994.
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Council on May 13, 1991, a
feasibility study has been prepared and submitted to the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The petition is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of
owners affected hereby.
2. The Council will consider the improvement in accordance with the report
and will involve the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of
the cost pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, at an estimated total
cost of the improvement of $160,000.
3. Bret Weiss of OSM is hereby designated as the engineer for this
improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of
such improvement.
4. A public hearing will be held on such improvement on the 27th of March,
1995, in the Council Chambers of the city hall at 7 p.m., and the City
Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing as
required by law.
5. The improvement project is hereby ordered.
