A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT
AND ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR PROJECT 93-02C, PHASE III OF THE
CARDINAL HILLS RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Council action to authorize a feasibility study on January 25,
1993, a report has been prepared by Orr-Schelen-Mayeron with reference to the
public improvements to phase III of the Cardinal Hills residential subdivision, and
this report was received by the Council on February 8, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the petitioners have indicated that they will guarantee payment of the
cost to prepare plans and specifications in the form of a letter of credit that can be
drawn upon by the City in the event the project is not ordered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with
the report, which includes development of streets, curb, gutter, water main,
sanitary sewer, site grading, bituminous walkway, and storm sewer and the
assessment of abutting property for all of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $721,300.
2. A public hearing shall not be held on such proposed improvement because the
petition for said improvement is signed by the single property owner benefiting
from the improvement.
3. Bret Weiss of OSM is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement.
He shall prepare plans and specifications for making of such improvement
subject to the City receiving from the developer a letter of credit or other
sufficient financial security in an amount equal to the cost to prepare plans
and specifications.
